Community Engagement
Your support will help allow the libraries to move outside of the walls of the building and provide additional services. Below are some examples of programming your donations will support.
Mobile Programs
Mobile services deliver services, materials, and programs in new ways that promote equitable access to all our libraries have to offer. Your donations support retrofitting or adding equipment for the mobiles.
Bookmobile
This library on wheels ventures out to area schools, neighborhoods, local fairs and festivals with innovative programing to ensure all residents of San Mateo County are life-long library users. The Bookmobile offers a collection for children and adults, including new movies and books, magazines, WiFi hotspots, Spanish language materials, and more.
LookMobile
This County micro climate learning machine visits our libraries and local schools and provides outdoor inquiry-based experiences for visitors.
Playmobile
This playground on wheels will visit families with children 0-5 to provide an opportunity for youth children to explore. Coming Soon
Makermobile
This DIY machine will bring Makerspace to communities that will not have a dedicated Makerspace at their local library to tinker and use sewing machines, 3D printers and more. Coming Soon
