Gratitude Report FY 2020-2021

Dear Foundation Supporters,

The Foundation for San Mateo County Libraries just completed its third full year of operations. We are excited to share this year we were able to donate over $200,000 to the Libraries to support youth & family programs, community engagement, staff engagement and the Big Lift Inspiring Summers program. While the last year held many challenges, it was an exciting year for the Foundation on numerous fronts.

Here are just a few notable highlights:

  • In the first annual 5K for $5K fundraising challenge, together with your help, we raised over $9,000.
  • In February, we hosted Virtual Valentine, a chocolate and wine tasting event. More than 120 people registered to taste and learn about delicious chocolates, wines and the many services

None of this would have been possible without your generosity and support. Given the challenges presented by COVID-19, the Libraries identified the greatest need and launched programs focused on supporting families, literacy, and closing the digital divide. Your contributions help support the Libraries and these amazing programs. Thank you for building a strong future for San Mateo County Libraries!

Virtual Valentine

Our 1st Virtual Valentine was held on February 5, 2021 with a chocolate tasting by Timothy Adams and a wine tasting by Zola Palo Alto. This hour-long virtual experience also highlighted the wonderful programs and services of San Mateo County Libraries. It was a great night and we thank you for being a part of it!
